How does the design process begin?
Designing your book is easy! Simply create an account with us and follow the prompts. We will guide you from start to finish until you have the perfect book!
What if I’m not the best writer?
Not a problem! Our design process includes prompts, so you’ll never have to worry about the writing.
What types of things are included in the book?
You can include anything from short stories, aspirations, food, things you wish to pass down, memories, sections about friends and family members, and things that are important to you.
After I finish designing the book, how long until I receive it?
Once you’re finished designing and you have placed your order, your book will ship within X business days.
Am I able to order more books at a later stage?
Yes, you are able to login to your account at any stage and be able to re-order as many copies as you like.
You can add or take anything you like from our question banks. We want this experience to be as individual as we can make it for every customer.
What happens if I don’t have much time or am a slow writer?
You have as much time to create your book as you would like and can catch up at any time. All progress is saved as you go, you can add little story’s as you need to. You can even go back and edit sections whenever you like.
Is there a word or page limit to my stories?
Our printer has the capability to print books up to 800 pages. In practice, few people run into this limitation. If your book exceeds, we can arrange to do it over 2 volumes.
Yes. We can even ship to multiple international addresses at once.
How will my story look in the printed book?
Before every book is ready to ship it is compiled and you will be able to download a PDF preview of the book. To see how the story will be formatted in the 6×9 book, you can log into your account on our website and click on the story title and then click “Print Preview.” This will download a PDF to show you exactly how the story (and photos) will appear in your book. You can then go back and make edits as needed.
If for any reason you’re not 100% happy with our product once you receive it, we offer full refunds on any book purchase within 30 days. We are all about offering something special to our customers and our business relies on the satisfaction of your book.
How long does it take for orders to be delivered?
A Human Book is a great last-minute gift, since our subscriptions can be delivered the same day via email (you can also print a gift card at home). With standard shipping, hardcover books take approximately 10 business days to deliver from the day they are ordered. We also offer economy and expedited shipping. Our book order page will give you a more precise estimate based on your shipping address but please note that these are estimates only and that we cannot guarantee shipping or delivery dates at this time.
All books come with a full color cover. The books are customizable to your needs. You can select black and white of color for all books. We also have options or Matte or glossy covers and linen wrap or hard cover bindings.
Book cost can vary depending on the amount of pages and print options. For a 300-page book the average cost is between $49 – $99.
Yes, we do offer this as an additional add on an it is calculated per word however, we work on a case-by-case basis. We will organize all this for you and make the process as smooth as possible.
Is there a way for others to order the book?
Yes, you’ll receive a unique link to your book that others can access to purchase their own copy.
